Specification document - from £249.50
I recommend that every person commissioning a bespoke website should spend between 10% and 20% of their total project budget on producing the specification.
The following table may give a very rough idea of these costs;

A new specification document will typically involve a face-to-face meeting or conference call to discuss the vision statement and requirements list. Once the requirements list has been drawn up there will typically be a second meeting to walk you through it. Once a requirements list has been finalised a technical specification will be created for it.
Additional version of a specification - £49.50
A certain amount of admin is created each time a specification document changes. This is essential to ensure the smooth running of your project.
You should budget for at least two new versions on any normal project.
Completion verification - price on request
Completion checks are normally linked to the initial cost of the specification, so allow 20% of your initial specification cost for this.
Hourly rate - £49.50
Additional meetings and consultancy are always available and charged on an hourly basis.
Travel costs for meetings - at cost
I'm happy to travel for meetings. Expenses are chargeable and travel time is charged at half my standard hourly rate. I'm based in Yeovil, Somerset (England).
Payment schedules - 50/50
For all jobs the payment schedule is 50% in advance and 50% upon delivery.
